What is Insomnia ?

Although many of the sleeping problems that affect people are temporary, there are an increasing number of sufferers who are tormented for months and even years by restless nights. Many take sleep for granted but more than 25% of the UK find sleeping difficult and the lack of a good night’s sleep leads to exhaustion, irritability and difficulty concentrating the following day. Often, sleeping problems can reflect worries and stresses occuring during the day and these can manifest themselves as nightmares or night terrors. It can be quite a lonely place to be when it feels like everyone else is asleep !

Does this sound familiar ? You’ve had a long, hard day. You need a good, restful night’s sleep. You lie in bed and close your eyes. But sleep does not come. Your mind is ticking and whirring away in overdrive. You become irritated and put more pressure on yourself to try to sleep. As a result of this extra pressure, sleep of course does not arrive……. This is a very common experience but The Thrive Programme can help you sleep better.

The Thrive Programme for help with Insomnia

ThriveProgramme Logo New RGB LargeThis is a revolutionary and highly effective training programme which will teach you to understand how to grasp control of the beliefs, thoughts and emotions that maintain the problems of sleepless nights. Discover how to completely change the way you think and feel about yourself and challenging situations, overcome your symptoms and live a happier and positive life.

Sleep problems are always the result one or of a number of unhelpful beliefs or negative thinking styles including:

  • Dreading/expecting not to sleep – worrying about it is often enough to make it a reality.
  • Obsessive thinking and worrying during the day – therefore feeling stressed or not relaxed by the time bedtime comes.
  • Issues with self esteem and social anxiety – worrying about how others have perceived you during the day and anxiously going over situations and conversations that have happened or are going to happen.
  • Feeling powerless and unable to control or change your thinking before or at bedtime, so constantly repeating and reinforcing unhelpful beliefs.

When you absolutely understand how your mind operates, such as the interaction between your thinking, beliefs, personality and feelings, you will feel much more empowered and in control. When you recognise that almost all of your worries, stresses, problems and symptoms are either created, maintained or worsened by poorly managed thinking, you will feel fabulously empowered……..and because YOU created these problems then YOU can change them!

This course of treatment does not contain any myths, magic or mumbo-jumbo. It is simply an empowering and liberating psychological training programme, created with proven scientific research, and with your input, it will allow you to overcome your sleep deprived nights and regain your freedom. You will find that it is much easier and faster than you ever believed to take control and get the life you desire!
