What is anger ?

Anger is a natural human response. However, when it becomes overwhelming and out of control, turning destructive, it can lead to serious problems. I define anger as what is known as a ‘secondary’ emotion. People feel anger as a reaction to another (primary) negative emotion first.

However, if you had good self control and felt good about yourself, those buttons wouldn’t be there to be pushed in the first place! Frequently, becoming angry can be the response to taking things too personally, thus losing perspective and over-reacting.
